Review: New BMSR Music Video “Windshield Smasher”

Black Moth Super Rainbow released their new music video, “Windshield Smasher” one week ago!

“Windshield Smasher” is the first single and music video to be released from Cobra Juicy, the new BMSR EP which drops very soon. If you like simulated violence, birthday cake, chainsaws, heads being shaved, people being attacked in an alley by a gang of creepy mask-wearing thugs, or all of the above, then you will go bananas for this music video.

The video begins with a couple in a car, arguing about directions, then suddenly they find themselves in an alley while their car is destroyed by goons wearing the “Ugly Orange Head” masks (which were available for purchase from their Kickstarter page). There’s forcible shavings and birthday cake feedings, among much more strangeness.

The song totally rocks, perfectly tailored to the out-of-control feeling and mood of the video itself. If you need a laugh, a tear or a giant question mark hovering over your head, check this little number out, shes’ sure to salivate!

If you have not been introduced to the digital/electronic magic show that is Black Moth Super Rainbow, watching this new music video is a PERFECT place to start. BMSR has been on the music scene since 2003, and has been turning the heads of electronic fans and more ever since. Due to the ineptitude of the “powers that be” (i.e. big record labels) that refused to publish or sign any kind of deal to release their new album, BMSR chose to reach out to the fans through Kickstarter for help. Boy, did it pay off big time. Now BMSR is reaping the fruits of their labor, with over $125,000 raised. Hopefully, we will be seeing much more of this excellent group in the near future. Rock on BMSR, you are my heroes.
